Question UFO crashes?
I'm watching a show on history channel, and I was wondering--Assuming for conversation's sake that there have been UFO crashes, what reasons would governments have to keep the evidence and/or information from the people?

Best Answer The usual line offered is to "prevent panic." The assumption seems to be that even with all the science fiction we have read and made into movies, we simply would not know how to behave properly if we knew there really, truly are other intelligent beings out there. We would, as a species, "panic." Hogswallop, as Hagrid would say. I do not believe there needs to be a reason for a government to decide to do something. It could be nothing more rational than a policy adopted way too long ago which has not been re-evaluated since, because that's the way bureaucrats work. We have literally no way to know, at this time, whether there have been facts suppressed by the government under a "national security" rubric, or whether there is a sufficiently strong underground to disseminate such facts anyway. Because there is the dissemination of lots of information, but without the cooperation of government sources, we cannot tell whether the facts presented are true or not. Like with other government cover-ups, the fact that there is a cover-up must also be covered up, and they get so tangled it hardly seems worthwhile. This leads me to be somewhat skeptical of the theories that the government has actually succeeded in a major cover-up of any sort. Attempted, I would easily believe.

Question If another Ufo crashes, would the government cover it up and then lie to the American people about it?
If there's another Roswell somewhere in the United States and if we're fortunate enough to see that craft before the Government steps in, do you think they will tell us to leave, and then lie about it that nothing was found?

Question Where the UFO ships goes, when it crashes?
I have been hearing rumors about UFO for long time now. i have only one question. when the ufo crashes, where the ship goes? who takes it? if someone is taking the ship before any person sees it, who are these people? somebody already knows about it & covering up for long time?

Best Answer If the UFO is a piece of crashed satellite or something like a top secret balloon train used for atmospheric spying, the government will want to gather it up and spirit it off to their facilities, like they did in Roswell. If you are referring to a crashed alien ship, there is no precedent for this. It has never happened. But you can be sure they would want to get local citizens out of the area as quickly as possible, for their protection, since there is no way to assess the possible risk. Self-appointed UFO/ET "investigators" like Barbara Moulton Howe, *might* be allowed access to the press area. I have always wondered just what people would be assigned to something like this. It would be interesting to find out. Local authorities would be the first and I'm sure they would just want to keep people away. What big-wig authorities would move in from the government, I don't know. I wonder if they even have a contingency for this. My guess is that the military and NSA and FBI people would be running the show. There are probably some well-respected scientists who would be called in. These would most likely be civilians. If it was confirmed extraterrestrial, I think the ranking official on site would be a 4-star general or the Vice President, (in the US). If the craft is inhabited, our first priority would be to protect our citizens. Then we would attempt to establish communication and render aid to the occupants.

These all require faith to believe. Many smart and prominent people believe at least one of the above, and science can explain some of the sightings or lore that surrounds each of these mysteries. So if you believe in global warming, do you also believe in Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, or that OFU's have crashed in Roswell, NM? Or is there something else you believe in, like ghosts?
